George Scott

George Scott is running for the State Senate in the 15th District, representing Dauphin and Perry Counties.

George grew up on a family farm in South Central Pennsylvania. After graduating from Georgetown University, he entered the U.S. Army and served on active duty for 20 years at home and abroad. George continued his career of public service with the Central Intelligence Agency as a staff operations officer in the Agency’s Middle East Division. George returned home to South Central Pennsylvania and attended seminary, earned a Master of Divinity degree, and began serving as a pastor in his local community.

George believes that fighting partisan gerrymandering is critical in ensuring that frontline communities have a voice on environmental issues. He supports the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative and divestment from fossil fuels. George is particularly concerned about the environmental impacts from farming and will advocate for improved soil quality for local farmers and increased investments in riparian buffers to keep fighting pollution in the Susquehanna River. He is running against an opponent who scored a 0% on the 2019-2020 Pennsylvania Environmental Scorecard, voting against the environment every opportunity he had.

George Scott is the pro-environment choice in State Senate District 15 and we encourage voters to send him to Harrisburg.
