Janet Diaz

Janet Diaz is running for the State Senate in the 13th District, representing part of Lancaster County.

Janet is a current Lancaster City Council member and a former medical analyst. She has extensive volunteer experience in her local community, at Sunday School and nursing homes, and at the YMCA as a sexual assault counselor.

Her environmental priorities include a transition to 100% clean energy, protecting local wildlife, and fighting for agricultural reforms to protect clean air and water. Janet supports legislation to promote renewable energy that remains affordable for low-income residents, older Pennsylvanians, and communities of color. If elected, she would work to ensure that pipeline companies adhere to important environmental regulations and keep their promises to protect our communities and families. She is running against an opponent who scored a 0% on the 2019-2020 Pennsylvania Environmental Scorecard, voting against the environment every opportunity he had.

We urge voters to support Janet Diaz, the pro-environment choice, for election to the State Senate for District 13.
