Katherine Gilmore-Richardson

Katherine Gilmore-Richardson is running for re-election for an At-Large seat on the Philadelphia City Council.

After graduating from West Chester University, Katherine started her career at the School District of Philadelphia as a long-term substitute teacher at Overbrook High School. Later, she worked in healthcare at Pennsylvania Hospital, where she created the first transitional work program for patient care technicians and certified nursing assistants.

During her time on City Council, Katherine has worked to pass legislation that integrates climate risk disclosure and sustainable investment decisions into the City’s Pension Fund operations. In 2021, she was appointed to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Local Government Advisory Committee (LGAC), and she is the Vice Chair of the LGAC’s Environmental Justice Working Group.

Katherine Gilmore-Richardson has been a fierce advocate of the environment during her tenure on City Council. We strongly urge you to re-elect Katherine on May 16.
