Amber Concepcion

Amber is running for re-election as Centre County Commissioner. She was appointed in January 2023 to serve the remaining term of Michael Pipe, who is currently serving as deputy chief of staff for public safety in the Shapiro Administration.

Prior to serving as Commissioner, Amber served 11 years on the State College Area School Board. She helped the school district achieve financial stability and helped complete six large building projects to replace failing facilities. Together with her fellow Commissioners, she’ll build upon the successes of Centre County’s sustainability projects, such as designing the largest possible solar array for the human services building project, installing electric vehicle charging stations at the county office building, and working with PSU’s Sustainability Institute to employ an intern in the planning department this coming school year who will be conducting a greenhouse gas inventory for the County and helping develop a climate action plan.

We strongly urge you to vote for Amber on November 7!
