Delaware County Council - Dr. Monica Taylor

Monica is running for re-election to Delaware County Council. Monica is a former professional basketball player, collegiate coach, and professor, Monica previously worked at West Point, East Stroudsburg University, and the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia.

Together with her fellow council people, Monica helped create a Sustainability Commission and hired a Sustainability Director who ensures a sustainability lens for all County operations. Some of the specific actions they have taken already or are working on now include: converting to an all-electric fleet (over 300 vehicles), adopting a Sustainability Plan, adopting a Zero Waste approach to solid waste disposal, instituting a composting and recycling program within the government center, updating facilities to be more energy efficient, switching energy purchasing to focus on renewable energy, and planning for solar energy production on County-owned property.

We strongly urge you to re-elect Dr. Taylor on November 7.
