Elaine Paul Schaefer

Elaine Paul Schaefer is running for Delaware County Council.

A former Conservation Voters of PA board member, Elaine is a lifelong environmental champion. She founded the Radnor Conservancy to protect open space in her township and previously served as the first-ever woman President of the Radnor Township Board of Commissioners. She is currently the Executive Director of the Schuylkill River Greenways National Heritage Area where she works to keep the Schuylkill clean and support recreation in the Schuylkill River watershed.

Elaine is committed to advocating for increased open space and trail systems in the County, leading the transition to renewable energy, and pushing back against the dangerous pipelines that threaten residents’ health and homes.  If elected, Elaine plans to prioritize investments in clean, public transportation; better regulate or eliminate the Covanta incinerator in Chester; and steer the County away from fossil fuel dependence.

Elaine Paul Schaefer is in a tough race for a seat on the Delaware County Council. We know that she will prioritize the environment and put people ahead of polluters. We strongly urge you to vote for her on November 5.
