Tara Shakespeare
Tara Shakespeare is running for State House in the 88th District, representing part of Cumberland County.
Tara built a career in Finance and Human Resources, and has volunteered with the Harrisburg Area National Organization for Women. She is currently a Committee Person for the Cumberland County Democratic Party.
If elected, Tara is committed to helping Pennsylvania act on climate change despite the power climate deniers hold at the federal level. She will ensure agencies, like the Department of Environmental Protection, have the funding and capacity to protect our environment and she is committed to sponsoring and voting for legislation that will protect our environment, fine polluters, and promote good-paying, clean energy jobs. She is running against an opponent who scored a 0% on the 2019-2020 Pennsylvania Environmental Scorecard, voting against the environment every opportunity she had.
