Ken Lawrence, Jr.

Ken Lawrence, Jr. is running for re-election as the Vice-Chair of the Montgomery County Commissioners. He is running on the same ticket as fellow commissioner and Chair, Dr. Val Arkoosh.

Commissioner Lawrence was elected in 2017 and has been a strong advocate for environmental policies in Montgomery County. Along with Chair Dr. Val Arkoosh, he helped lead the Board to support efforts to continue fighting climate change after President Trump pulled the United States from the Paris Climate Accords. The commission is currently working on adopting an ordinance which would encourage clean energy use at commercial properties throughout the county. Both Commissioner Lawrence and Dr. Arkoosh are strong supporters of expanding public transportation options, transitioning to 100% clean energy, and preparing Montgomery County for the extreme weather that results from climate change.

Ken Lawrence, Jr. is a committed environmentalist who will continue to make Montgomery County a cleaner and greener place. We encourage you to vote for him on November 5!
