Malcolm Kenyatta - Auditor General

Representative Malcolm Kenyatta is running for Pennsylvania Auditor General. He earned a 100% on the 2021-2022 Environmental Scorecard.

Rep. Kenyatta believes that making the change to renewable energy is not only vital to having clean air and water, but is also a step forward for the economy. He also believes that polluters of our air, water, and land must be held accountable. As Auditor General, he’ll hold polluters accountable at the state level, and ensure all environmental funding is equitably distributed. He’ll also use his role to provide recommendations and findings that will help legislators to properly utilize federal funds, and will conduct audits of the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) to ensure the targets and goals of Governor Shapiro’s administration are being met. 
Rep. Kenyatta is a member of the Climate Caucus. He is also part of a group of legislators who introduced several bills to codify the Office of Environmental Justice and the Environmental Justice Advisory Board, and to create a more transparent permitting process before polluting facilities are built in environmental justice communities.

Rep. Kenyatta has been a strong leader for the environment, and we urge Pennsylvanians to elect him Auditor General to continue his fight to protect the environmental health and public health of all Pennsylvanians.
