Conservation Voters of PA's Statement in Response to Representative-elect Heather Boyd's Victory in the May 2023 Special Election

Conservation Voters of Pennsylvania (CVPA) released the following statement regarding State Representative-elect Heather Boyd's victory in the May 2023 Special Election:

"Conservation Voters of PA (CVPA) congratulates Heather Boyd on her decisive win in the special election in the 163rd legislative district. Representative-elect Boyd’s victory secures the Democratic majority in the state house, and along with it, the efforts of those who work to protect Pennsylvanians’ constitutional right to clean air and water and the preservation of our natural resources.

"CVPA volunteers to made 3,200 phone calls and sent 7,000 text messages to voters about Heather and the importance of coming out to vote in the special election. We are proud to have mobilized on behalf of Heather and helping to advance the pro-environment and pro-democracy cause. We can’t wait to work with Representative-elect Boyd and the reconfirmed House Democratic majority."
