Joanna Bryn Smith

Joanna Bryn Smith is running for State House in the 120th District, representing part of Luzerne County. She is an attorney who works for the Office of Conflict Counsel in Luzerne County, representing those who could not otherwise afford an attorney.

Environmental conservation is one of Joanna’s top priorities, and she would be a strong supporter for investing in clean energy, making oil and gas companies pay their fair share, and reinvesting funds from the extraction industry back in our local communities. Joanna would fight against handouts to fossil fuel companies and for policies like the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative, that add new sources of revenue for our state and protect our air, land, and water. Her opponent only scored 8% on the 2019-2020 Pennsylvania Environmental Scorecard.

We encourage voters to elect Joanna Bryn Smith to the State House for District 120. She will be a strong champion for environmental issues in Harrisburg.
