Rep. Melissa Shusterman

State Representative Melissa Shusterman is running for re-election in the 157th district in Chester and Montgomery Counties.

Rep. Shusterman was first elected to the state House in 2018 and earned a 100% on the 2019-2020 Pennsylvania Environmental Scorecard. She is a member of the Climate Caucus and has recently sponsored legislation that would help limit pollution from single-use plastics. Rep. Shusterman knows that environmental protection is a priority for her district, and she has been a strong advocate in her first term for a moratorium on fracking, an increase in funding for the Department of Environmental Protection, and greater transparency in permitting for pipelines like the Mariner East II which plagues Chester County. Recently, she stood with many of her colleagues in calling for an immediate halt to pipeline construction and a revocation of its building permits.

Rep. Shusterman has been a strong leader for the environment, and we urge voters in the 157th district to re-elect her!
