Joanna McClinton

Speaker Joanna McClinton is running for re-election in the 191st district, which comprises part of Philadelphia and Delaware Counties. She has a 100% on the 2021-2022 Scorecard.

Speaker McClinton is an attorney who worked as a public defender and for a state senator before being elected to the State House in 2014. Speaker McClinton made history when she was elected the first woman to lead the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. One of Speaker McClinton’s priorities is to invest in students and public schools across the commonwealth. A quarter of Philadelphia students have asthma due to poor air quality, and that issue is exacerbated by the lack of investment in their schools. Speaker McClinton has fought to remove toxins, including asbestos and lead contamination, from Pennsylvania schools to improve the lives of students and staff and to create good, union jobs.

Speaker McClinton is a leader in the House and a fighter for the Philadelphia residents she represents. We encourage the voters in the 191st district to vote to send Speaker McClinton back to Harrisburg.
