La’Tasha Mayes

Representative La’Tasha Mayes is running for re-election to the State House in the 24th District, representing part of Allegheny County.

Rep. Mayes previously served as the founder, President, and CEO of New Voices for Reproductive Justice, an advocacy organization dedicated to transforming the health of Black women, girls, and gender-expansive people through community organizing and voter engagement. She has tirelessly advocated to invest in renewable energy technology, with concentrated investments in environmental justice communities. She has also advocated for removing lead from homes and schools, reducing carbon emissions, and supporting urban farmers and gardeners to eliminate food deserts.

Rep. Mayes has been a fierce advocate for environmental justice communities and the climate. We encourage voters in the 24th District to vote for her on April 23rd.
