Neil Makhija

Neil is running for Montgomery County Commissioner. If elected, he would be the first AAPI County Commissioner in Pennsylvania’s history. Neil is a lecturer in election law at the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School, and was previously invited by President Biden to advise his administration on voting rights.

His top three environmental priorities as Commissioner would be achieving 100% electrification of Montco's motor vehicle fleet, ensuring equitable distribution of resources to address climate change impacts in the most vulnerable communities, and establishing an Environmental Advisory Committee at the County level. These initiatives will play a crucial role in promoting sustainability, social equity, and environmental stewardship for the region.

We urge voters to support Neil Makhija on November 7.
