This election represents a sweeping vindication – not just for the environment over powerful corporate interests but also for democracy itself.

In Josh Shapiro, voters chose an environmental champion with a proven track record of cracking down on polluters and protecting our constitutional rights to clean air and water. Throughout his career and this campaign, Shapiro has stood against extremist forces that reject science and the democratic norms that underpin our society.

Governor-elect Shapiro has long been a friend and ally of the environmental community. As he prepares to take office, we look forward to working with him to advance a progressive agenda that will expand clean energy, protect our open space and ensure that every Pennsylvanian has access to clean air and water.
