La'Tasha Mayes

La’Tasha Mayes  is running for State House in the 24th District, representing parts of Allegheny County.

La’Tasha Mayes has served as the founder, President, and CEO of New Voices for Reproductive Justice, an advocacy organization dedicated to transforming the health of Black women, girls, and gender expansive people through community organizing and voter engagement. She previously served on the Pennsylvania Governor’s Advisory Commission on African American Affairs.

Environmental justice is one of La’Tasha’s top priorities. La’Tasha wants to protect the environment and address environmental justice across the commonwealth. If elected, she will advocate for investing in renewable energy,  removing lead from homes and schools, reducing carbon emissions, and supporting urban farmers and gardeners to eliminate food deserts.

We are confident La’Tasha will be a fierce advocate for the environment and Pennsylvania’s communities in the State House, and we encourage voters in the 24th District to vote for her this November.
