Delaware County Council - Christine Reuther

Christine is running for re-election to Delaware County Council. A former attorney who was born and raised in Havertown, Christine has a proud history of community service. 

Together with her fellow council people, Christine helped create a Sustainability Commission, and they hired a Sustainability Director who ensures a sustainability lens for all County operations. Some of the specific actions they have taken already or are working on now include: converting to an all-electric fleet (over 300 vehicles), adopting a Sustainability Plan, adopting a Zero Waste approach to solid waste disposal, instituting a composting and recycling program within the government center, updating facilities to be more energy efficient, switching energy purchasing to focus on renewable energy, and planning for solar energy production on County-owned property.
