Alice Beck Dubow
Judge Alice Beck Dubow is running for retention to the Pennsylvania Superior Court.
Prior to becoming a Superior Court Judge ten years ago, Judge Beck Dubow practiced law since 1984, serving as a law clerk, associate attorney in private practice, a lawyer in the Philadelphia city solicitor's office, deputy general counsel for Drexel University and in her own practice until her election to the bench. In 2024, she was also part of a Superior Court decision that ruled plaintiffs met the legal requirements to sue US Steel for air pollution.
Over the past 10 years, there have been several critical environmental cases that have been brought before the Superior Court. This includes the enforceability and strength of the Environmental Rights Amendment and enabling Environmental Justice communities to stand up to corporate interests. Without strong judges on the bench, Pennsylvania will be in dire straits in terms of environmental quality and public health.
