Judge Stella Tsai
Judge Stella Tsai is running for the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court.
Judge Tsai currently serves as a judge on the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas. She has experience across the Criminal, Civil, Orphans’ Court, and Family Court Divisions and did pro bono work for the Women's Law Project. She taught an annual course on environmental litigation and prior to becoming a lawyer, she wrote legislation when working for the General Assembly to limit the leeching of methane into the Chesapeake Bay.
Over the past 10 years, there have been several critical environmental cases that have been brought before the Commonwealth Court. This includes the enforceability and strength of the Environmental Rights Amendment and enabling Environmental Justice communities to stand up to corporate interests. Without strong advocates on the bench, Pennsylvania will be in dire straits in terms of environmental quality and public health.
Judge Tsai will be a strong candidate for every resident in Pennsylvania, and her election could mean flipping the make-up of the Commonwealth Court to a pro-environment majority. In the interest of a strong environment & fair democracy, we strongly encourage you to cast your vote for Judge Stella Tsai.
