Julie Slomski

Julie Slomski is running for the State Senate in the 49th District, representing part of Erie County. She was most recently the Northwest Regional Director for Governor Tom Wolf’s administration, and is the former chief of staff for a state representative.

Julie is acutely aware of the environmental issues that frontline communities in her district face. She is committed to introducing legislation to address disparities in environmental justice communities and to ensure that low-income communities have equal access to clean air, land, and water. Julie strongly supports a natural gas severance tax and would prioritize people over corporate polluters. She has seen how cuts to the Department of Environmental Protection have impacted her district and the Lake Erie watershed, and supports increased funding for our state agencies. She is running against an opponent who scored a 0% on the 2019-2020 Pennsylvania Environmental Scorecard, voting against the environment every opportunity he had.

We encourage voters in State Senate District 49 to send Julie Slomski to Harrisburg to fight for clean air, water, and land.
