Justices Kevin Dougherty, Christine Donohue, and David Wecht are running for retention to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.
Over the past 10 years, there have been several critical environmental cases that have been brought before the Supreme Court. This includes the enforceability and strength of the Environmental Rights Amendment and the ability for environmental groups to fight permits that will lead to significant harm to Environmental Justice communities. Without strong justices on the bench, Pennsylvania will be in dire straits in terms of environmental quality and public health. There have also been significant challenges to mail-in voting access and restrictive voter ID. Big polluters and special interests have dumped millions of dollars into the effort to prevent the retention of Justices Dougherty, Donahue, and Wecht.
In the interest of a strong environment & fair democracy, we strongly encourage you to vote “YES” on the retention of Justices Kevin Dougherty, Christine Donohue, and David Wecht.
