Sara Johnson-Rothman

Sara Johnson Rothman is running for State Representative in the 151st district in Montgomery County.

Sara started her career as an Assistant District Attorney in the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office. While there, she prosecuted child sex abuse and domestic abuse cases. Since 2014, Sara has served on the Upper Dublin School Board, most recently as Vice President. During her time on the school board, Sara has ushered in many policy reforms and has worked to strengthen the relationship between the board and the local teachers union.

The 151st district is facing a devastating environmental crisis. Two former local military bases were found to have been using fire retardant foams that contaminated hundreds of local water sources with dangerous chemicals. Experiencing this crisis first hand and witnessing the government’s inaction, Sara is committed to implementing better environmental protections for clean water.

Sara is running in a challenging race against an incumbent who earned just a 41 percent lifetime score on our 2017/2018 Pennsylvania Environmental Scorecard. We know that Sara will make protecting Montgomery County’s drinking water a priority when elected and encourage you to send her to Harrisburg this November.
