Conservation Voters of PA calls for swift action on Biden climate and budget framework

Conservation Voters of Pennsylvania Interim Executive Director Molly Parzen issued the following statement responding to President Biden’s announcement of a framework for the Build Back Better Act, a landmark budget and climate deal:

The budget framework President Biden announced yesterday represents the strongest effort our nation has ever made to combat the climate crisis by investing in good-paying union jobs and strengthening the middle class.

The more than half a trillion dollars in climate investments included in the Build Back Better Act framework would immediately put Pennsylvanians to work building new solar and wind installations, weatherizing homes and businesses, and modernizing our electric grid.

The science is clear: Our nation can no longer afford to wait as the impacts of a warming climate become more apparent every day. We are calling for swift action from Pennsylvania’s entire congressional delegation to support President Biden’s framework and to quickly pass a transformative Build Back Better Act.
