[Philadelphia, PA] – Today, Conservation Voters of PA endorsed Steve Santarsiero (D) for State Senate in Bucks County’s 10th District. Conservation Voters of PA represents thousands of individuals in the Commonwealth who are committed to clean air, land, energy, and water, and prepared to vote for candidates who reflect those values.

“Throughout his many years serving the Commonwealth, Steve has proven time and time again that he will put people over polluters and advocate for strong environmental protections,” said Josh McNeil, Executive Director of Conservation Voters of PA. “When elected, I know that Steve will be among the strongest environmental champions we have in the State Senate.”

Mr. Santarsiero is a former State Representative and most recently served as first Chief Deputy Attorney General for Environmental Protection in Pennsylvania. While at the Attorney General’s office, Mr. Santarsiero oversaw the prosecution of environmental crimes and led Pennsylvania’s efforts to fight the Trump Administration over proposed rollbacks of important environmental protections. While in the State House, Mr. Santarsiero was a strong voice for clean air, land, and water. He received 100% on all our Pennsylvania Environmental Scorecards during his time in the legislature.

Mr. Santarsiero said of the endorsement, “From litigating environmental cases on behalf of citizens groups in private practice, to supporting strong environmental regulations and a severance tax in the State House, I have spent my adult life championing the environment. My record on environmental protection demonstrates my commitment to this issue. I'm so humbled and honored to have the support of Conservation Voters of PA. And I look forward to working with them over the next two months of this campaign as we talk to voters in the 10th senate district about the importance of protecting our environment.”
