For Board Members Only: Understanding the Board’s Roles and Responsibilities in JEDI Work

  • Training: Thursday, January 25, 2pm-3:30pm
  • Identify-Specific Discussion Group: Monday, January 29, 2pm-3pm

Typically (but not always!) the staff of an organization is farther along in their JEDI journeys than their Boards of Directors. As the entity with the most power at a non-profit organization, the Board of Directors can make meaningful changes, both internally and externally, to ensure JEDI best practices are woven throughout the mission, vision, values, and day-to-day work. This workshop will offer peer-to-peer perspectives on what JEDI looks like at the environmental and conservation organizational Board level, along with specific action steps for making sustainable changes and impact. This training is open to people who serve as board members at organizations within the Delaware River Watershed.
